Catharine Candolin

Policy advisor, NATO HQ (Emerging Security Challenges Division/Cyber Defence)

Dr. Candolin graduated with her PhD on “securing military decision making in a network-centric environment” from the Helsinki University of Technology in 2005, having majored in computer science and minored in strategic decision making at the National Defence University.

She started to work with cyber defence at the Finnish Defence Forces in 2006, becoming Head of Section of the Cyber Defence Section in 2011.

Currently, since 2015, Dr. Catharina Candolin works at NATO HQ as a policy adviser. Her hobbies include aviation through her pilot license, boating, traveling, and cooking.
