Ph.D. Damir Trut is a member of the National Cyber Security Council and Assistant Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Croatia. As Assistant Minister of Interior, Mr Trut is responsible for cyber security tasks, performing administrative and professional tasks related to establishing the civil protection system, responsible for radiological and nuclear safety tasks, as well as for international cooperation in the field of civil protection. Also, he is in charge of planning, development, management, maintenance and monitoring of technical systems.

He’s got his PhD degree in Security Management, at the University of Modern Sciences – CKM Mostar, Department for Security Studies.

Mr Trut has many years of experience in manager at multiple levels and in leadership and command gained through his military engagement. He is member and leader of various boards, organisational committees and exercises in Republic of Croatia.
